Ghettonegrer i USA använder ofta frasen "five 0" (5-0) när man benämner polisen. Vad bottnar detta i ?

Sökte lite på google och hittade detta (vet inte hur väl det stämmer dock):

Hawaii is the 50th State admitted to the union of the United States. As the state is a rather small one, a group of islands in the Pacific, the state police force is a smaller, more closely-knit organization. The Hawaii State Police refer to themselves as "Five-O" because they protect and serve the people of the 50th state.
"Five-O" became a part of the American vernacular after the popularity of a long-running telivision program called Hawaii Five-O. The program was centered on the exploits of a Five-O police chief named McGarret and his squad of detectives. Every week McGarret and his detectives would catch the bad guy, all the while a beautiful Hawaii providing wonderful background scenery. As they slapped the cuffs on the bad guy, McGarret would turn to his right had man and say, "Book him, Danno." The show ran from the late 1960's to the early 1970's. It is from this television show that the slang term for the police, regardless of where they are located, became Five-O. It's like calling them cops. It's a dated expression rarely used, except in the inner city where it lives on in street lingo.
