Jeremy Meeks and the Great Hypocrisy
Citat:
By June 21, his mug shot had nearly 100k Likes and had been commented on nearly 25k times.
For the record, Meeks is a convicted felon, currently being held on weapons and gang-related charges. Stockton police have described him as “one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton Area.?
A quick scan of the comments shows a sickening glamorization of crime and violence – qualities we supposedly abhor, except, apparently, when the perpetrator is “hot.? Here are just a few of the more interesting comments from women I came across in a two-minute scan (among the more mundane comments about how perfectly handsome he is):
> All the people who are liking and commenting on the pic could donate a dollar each to post bail for his good looks.
[Of course, it doesn’t matter what he did – let’s just bail out the beautiful people…]
> I don’t care if he’s a criminal or a felon, if he ever comes to my country Russia, I would let him rape me as many times as he wants…
[This particular comment got seven “likes?]
> He is sooo hot…I would forgive him
[Of course you would – what is forgiveness based on, if not looks?]
> I’m in love with a gangster
[Your parents will be very proud]
> Oh Jeremy! You can rob my house anytime <3
[When he actually does, I hope she’ll be as understanding]
> Aw…I would hide you under my bed……..covers!!
[Well, why not? He’s a hot criminal – where else would he belong?]
> I would not mind uf (sic) he would kidnap me or something
[So is she okay with kidnapping in general, or only when the kidnapper is good looking?]
> Please be a raper (sic)
1) såg ni några feminister klaga på det här? Nej just det.
2) Så när kvinnor säger saker som,
