The headline should indicate what the post is about By choosing a suitable headline you help others to understand what your post/message is about. New posts are added each day, so it's important that you help out to make the forum easy to use. If your post is a question, your headline should contain a question mark. 0.2. The post should stick to the subject of the specific forum Be careful to post your message in the correct forum. Your message should be connected or related to the subject of the forum. If you can't find a forum that you find suitable, please post it in the forum "Various" these are located at the end of each forum category. If you find several forum you think are suitable for your message, then choose the one you think is most appropriate. 0.3. Stick to the subject of the thread/Off-Topic If the discussion is transformed into a completely different subject than what the headline dictates, it's better to start a new thread with a new headline. In this way the debate is made more efficient and easy to follow and it will attract the right people to the discussion. A little off topic is acceptable, but please do not hijack the thread or ignore a moderators notice. If several posts would contribute to a new thread, please request that a moderator split the posts into a new thread. 0.4. Cross-postings are not allowed Posting the same message in several forum is not allowed. You should choose beforehand which forum is best for your message. Then keep the discussion in this forum. Registering multiple users to promote a subject is not allowed. If you have two or more registered users they cannot post in the same thread. 0.5. Seek before you post a new thread By using the Search-function, you can easily find whether your particular subject has already been posted in the Forum, from which you can then decide whether a new thread is required or that you can continue your view in the already posted thread. 0.6 Your avatar should not be offensive to others It should simply be a graphic symbol of you, so that people will remember you more easily. Pornographic images and other things that can cause problems at schools, libraries and work places are therefore not allowed. 0.7 “Report this Post” option We highly appreciate members using the 'report' button to let us know about problems on the forum that require our attention. Please however do not overuse this feature, reporting someone who you disagree with or who you simply don't like to try and get them into t rouble constitutes abuse of the report system. Likewise, overly excessive reporting of duplicate news threads, spelling errors or other trivial things is strongly discouraged, please only report issues that genuinely require a moderator's attention. If a post or thr ead dissapears, DO NOT start a thread asking why – PM a moderator or admin to request information. 0.8 Language As this is an English speaking forum, we ask that all our users please write in English when posting, postings that are in a foreign language cannot be understood by the vast majority of visitors and make the job of the moderators a lot more difficult. 0.9 Posting entirely in capital letters is not allowed Do not post or title threads entirely with capital letters. This makes posts very hard to read and indicates yelling. 0.10 Images Please keep image size to no larger than 500 x 500 Pixels. Images should not be offensive to others. If an image is reported as offensive it may be removed. If using the ”Attach” option to place multiple images in a post, images should not be larger than 250 x 250 Pixels. Persons who post messages containing commercial information or request purchasing narcotics* or Cable TV descramblers etc will be banned without warning. Using the forums PM, email and signature system to sell, advertise or spam another member is also not allowed. *In regions where the drug is classified as illegal 1.3 Discussions and Advertising about Cable TV decoder-scramblers, "pirate cards" etc is not allowed. This includes all discussions, advertising and links to web sites regarding Code breaking of TV signals, Pirate Cards, Card Sharing, and Dream Box. Whoever posts ads about this kind of equipment, links to web sites that deal with this equipment or promote the sale of this equipment or services will be automatically banned. The background to this particular ban is the case in the Swedish Market Court, in which Flashback was sentenced to pay approximately 250.000 SEK in costs. According to the specific judgement, discussions ab out this and similar topics are illegal in Sweden. It is however allowed to discuss this court case but not including any commercial or promotional information. 1.4 The use of Racist comments are not allowed You are absolutely allowed to discuss immigration issues, National Socialism and anti-Semitism, as long as you don't act condescendingly by using Racist remarks. Racist remarks will not be tolerated in joke form either. Your arguments won't be better just because you use words like "Nigger", "Jew-pig" or "Filthy Gypsy". On the contrary! This forum is created for serious discussions. Please use it to argue in a serious manner. 1.5 To incite illegal activities is not allowed To use the forum to organize or incite illegal activities, violent actions, public protests and terrorism in a serious manner is not allowed. It is only allowed to discuss crime in theory. Posts that contain a more active, and practical side are not allowed. 1.6 Child Pornography and Child Abuse is not allowed Links to web pages containing nude images of people younger than 18 years and Child Pornography is not allowed. To request nude images or films of people under age 18 is not allowed. Sexual Literature about people under age 18 is not allowed. To request images of people under age 18 clothed in the Sexuality and Erotica Forum is not allowed. To encourage Child Pornography or Child abuse is not allowed. 1.7 Libel is not allowed If you write something that is defamatory or damaging about someone, you must supply proof that it is a true statement. If you do not have proof the information is not allowed. 1.8 To publish a persons personal contact details is not allowed It is our wish that everyone should be able to be anonymous in the Flashback Forum. This includes the admin and support team. It is therefore not allowed to post anyone's IP Number, real name, home/work address, phone number, email address or any other means of contact, without first gaining permission fro m the user. An exception to this rule could be if the person in question has registered several user names or has been banned. To disclose that one user has registered many different user names should only be made public in the case of abuse. Posting an IP number sh ould only take place if the (ab)user denies this fact. There could be permissible reasons to use multiple user names, so it's allowed as long as it's not abused. Again: only in instances where abuse can be proven, should IP numbers be made public. 1.9 Attacking another person is not allowed Harsh personal attacks, sexual harassment and stalking is not allowed. The use of harsh insults and swearing is not acceptable. To make a physical threat against another person or their friends or family is not allowed. If your comment is made in joke form be sure that it is understood by everyone. Using the forums PM and email system to attack another member is also not allowed. 1.10 Posting Pornographic Images directly onto the forum is not allowed Using the “Attach Image” option to post pornographic images is not allowed, nor is it allowed to have a pornographic image as an avatar. 1.11 Registered User Names, Avatars and Signatures may not contain material that violate any of the above rules User names may not contain words that are associated with administrative titles. Eg. SuperModerator. Action taken for rule breaking Rules 0.1 – 0.10 are netiquette rules if you break any of these regulations, you will be given notice. Several notices that are not heeded to will lead to a warning. Our aim is, though, to give any alleged perpetrator "the benefit of a doubt". Rules 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.6 will result in an immediate banning without warning to the user. Rules 1.4, 1.5, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, and 1.11 Posts will be edited, locked or erased without warning. The person who breaks these rules will be given a warning and possible a temporary ban. Two warnings or temporary bans will equal an automatic ban from the forum. Warnings are official and sent by PM by the admin or moderators. It is also written up in the thread "Warnings Given and Banned Members" in the "Flashback Forum Rules" forum. If you are told off about something in a thread and it is not headed "Warning" it is classified as a "notice". Several "notices" will lead to a warning, temporary ban or a permanent ban. Please note that these actions are just a guideline. admin reserves the right to change action taken for rule breaking.
